Capt. Jesse
Still considered the "young buck" of Haleiwa Harbor- he doesn't like to be called "Captain". Jesse's enthusiasm and motivation to find and catch fish is second only to his customer service ethics. That is why the boat is always clean, the tackle always works and the customer always comes first. Jesse has lived on the North Shore his whole life, and most of that time has been spent on the water. After getting his captain's license soon after graduating from high school, Jesse ran boats part-time for other people always hoping to have a full-time job fishing in his own back yard. Now he is at the wheel of a beautiful 42` sport fisher full-time, year round. It's what he loves to do and the North Shore is where he wants to be.

Capt. Dave
If Jesse is the "young buck" then Dave is the "old dog". In fact that's what we call him! Dave has been commercial fishing out of Haleiwa Harbor for the past 31 years. After completing his service in the Army at Schofield Barracks in 1974, Dave was going to "hang around" for a year and then head home to Kentucky. All it took was one trip deep sea fishing off the North Shore and he was hooked! 31 years later he's still here. Having been commercial fishing out of Haleiwa Harbor since the 1970's, if you name it, Dave has caught it and has the stories to prove it. If only these "old" guys had taken pictures back in the 1970's and 1980's we could show you what we're talking about. But commercial fishermen don't take pictures - they fish! We'll save the details for the ride out in the morning.

Deck-hand Jerrold
Having sailed around the world with his family, Jerrold has seen more ocean and had more high seas adventures than most people will ever have. And now he is the number one deckhand on the Foxy Lady. Quick on his feet and always ready to "Make It Happen".

There are several things that separate this crew from other charter boats. One is Jesse's passion for trying "new" tricks. Most of his ideas are tactics used in other parts of the world. Jesse is always trying to figure out how to adapt these techniques to make them work on his boat and for his guests. The second and most important is Jesse and Dave's information network. If there has been a fish caught within range of the Foxy Lady, Jesse and Dave know about it! In fact they usually know what's going on across the state from Kauai all the way to the Big Island! These guys work very closely with REAL fishermen and get good information that more often than not puts more fish in the boat and more smiles on our angler's faces.

Whether it's rigging up "something new", staring through high powered binoculars for hours on end, calling other hot boats for fish reports or just good old fashioned fisherman's "gut feelings," these guys are serious! Check out the Catch of the Day page- since 2000 we have taken lots of pictures!
